yea i knw these are always posted and its usually b/c ppl are too lazy to search but i searched to try to make sure but i could only find threads for 2003 Svt's. and i saw an episode of horsepower tv and they said any Svt Cobra 4 valve built before nov. 1 2002 can have a head tick issue and should be taken to ford for a recall, so i was wondering if that applies to my 1997 Cobra? sometimes it has the head tick on the drivers side like they say, but other times it doesnt. i always let it run for 5 mins or so when i start it up for the first time of the day. sorry u guys hate these threads but if ur guna be a dick then dont make a post. thanks

hmm honestly not sure about pre 2003s... I know the motors were different in the mach 1 and Cobra in 2003/2004 then in past years... but I would assume that the same crappy head design was used... might want to ask around svtperf if nobody really knows here... they know a lot of that stuff...

 

Ask on modularfords.... Svtperformance is full of trolls...

My 04 had the head tick. It got fixed last week! Cant wait to pick it up wednesday when i get off work!

 

but it was a recall tho u were able to take it to ford and have it fixed?
