cobra differences
i'm sure this topic is beat to hell but i can't seem to get the search to work :/.
so are there any websites that tell all the differences between the 94/95, 96-98, and 99/01 cobra? My dads going to sell his v6'r and buy a cobra, he doesn't want a termy, has no need for that much power, but just wants a "cobra". so any websites would help, or if someone knows the differences off hand I'd appreciate it, thanks.

Differences are probably very subtle, but other than the motor changes and the looks, I don't believe the cobras are really different at all. They used virtually the same suspension and interior (other than maybe like different seat materials and such) from 94-04. They did use different transmissions, but if he won't be gear banging I don't believe that'd matter much either. Otherwise I believe the cobras are practically the same, I'm sure there are a few other little things an average car-buyer wouldn't know, but the only real differences lie in the motors/transmission. Oh I did forget, the 99/01 cobras had IRS axle out back which is better for road racing, rather than the solid axles for drag.

94/95 Cobra the last of the push rod 302's...96-01 Cobra's nice as well...I'm a 03/04 Cobra guy, But between the 94-01, I'd take a clean 1995 Cobra! ...OR Perhaps a 1995 Cobra R ???? ...351!
Brakes all the same on the Cobra from 94-04....

If you're looking to check out specs msn.com is a good place to look. Personally I like the 01 cobra. The body style and the interior are the best I think. They also have the most power out of all the cobras besides the termi. I chose the 01 myself only because the 99's had too many recalls on them. You might be able to find that on the site. Although that 351 Cobra R sounds nice.

^ my buddy has that sticker on his dash in his GT
anyway
as stated the 94/95s were pushrod 5.0s.. rated @ 245bhp but were underated
96-98s Teksid block 4v DOHC SRA B heads Rated @305bhp
99/01 Teksidblock(99s/early01s)/W.A.P (late 01s) IRS DOHC 4v C heads great intake manifold. rated @ 320bhp
Both have the 3.27 stock rear gear.
Really since hes not interested in going fast and the difference from the 96s-98s and 99/01s are minimal i'd say just go with what he thinks looks best.
