Default 2003 Cobra Vs. Snow!?!?!

Hey guys, i know this sounds dumb but I have a 06 Chevrolet Silverado thats pretty decked out, but I have a great deal on an 03 Cobra vert with 27k miles the dealer says price is 22,000 but they said they are willing to come down some so im hoping for some thing like 19,000. But if I was to get the cobra how would it be driving short distances in snow, i am from maryland but am moving to Kansas City for 6 months. How do these cars handle in some crappy weather if i come across it I love the terminators! But am kinda scared to purchase one now or should I wait till I get back in the spring? And is it worth trading my 06 Silverado EXT Z71 with 62k truck also is chipped and exhaust work just my everyday beat around! Any info would be great thanks!

This is my first winter with my GT, and I hope I can drive when it snows out too. I bought my car last April, so I've just encountered rain thus far. Mine is a 97, so it doesn't have traction control either. My last car was a 97 Integra GSR, and it was terrible in the snow as well.

I don't live in a snow state, just make sure you either buy snow tires, and put some sand bags in the trunk to keep traction.

I know someone that drives a Terminator everyday in MI winters and has done so for a few years. Good all season tires or winter tires are a must. If you have summer only tires on your just asking for trouble

imo i wouldn't do that to a termi.. take the $ you save and spend 500-1000 on a winter beater.. a termi and the truck ur not exactly hurtin for $ and it might end up saving u money in the long run if you do wreck or just from salt damage.

I say NO! I drove my mach1 in 2 inches of snow once. Never again would I ever drive a sports car in the snow. I put sand bags in the trunk and also bought snow/winter tires. My mach1 had 330rwhp. I can't even imagine driving the power of a terminator in the snow.

Here in the NE, no way I'd be driving a Cobra! ...I just got power back after some 40 hours without! ...Maryland may not be as bad there...4 snow tires would be a must!

I would be more worried about salt damage and rust then I would driving it. I think you would also hit a point where to much hp (after you start modding) will become annoying in the weather.

i've taken off on hills in pouring rain and not spun the tires, it's all about clutch and throttle control and not being an idiot

if you're going to drive in snow i suggest taking it to a large parking lot when it snows and learning how to re-gain control of the car if it starts sliding...or just do it for fun, i do it
