you will not get there on a stock SC without a bottle. If you port the blower you can but then it is not a stock SC anymore. i made 522rwhp on a ported eaton.

The only way you can get to 500rwhp is to either PP your stock eaton or go on the bottle.

Over on SVTperformance.com you can pick up a ported eaton, tb & plenum for about $1,000.

Just add a port,
BAP and MAF and you're good to go... Just make sure you add the cooling mods; or you won't be able to really enjoy it.
Tim - you missed the first thing I said... ADD A PORT.

Most MAF meters are pegged in the upper 400's .. I know in the cold weather with just intake, exhaust and a 2.81 pulley; I was pegged in Florida... but every car is different... but with that being said... if you're not pegged.. you're close.

Yes, a bottle is the quick way... but, i'd rather have a ported blower then nitrous... well, both is the best way; but you get what I meant. And everyone has different tastes...

I would NOT add gears to the car... you're roots blower is already creating an insane amount of torque... the 500+ dollars it costs to get gears and install them isn't worth it.. better of putting it towards a port, nitrous, both, or your tune that you might need if you get nitrous.

I only do gears if you're planning on a straight track car, and you have the suspension/tire combo to back it up.

My bad ^^^, missed the "port" ...I guess because he did not want to port!

...But at least with the Bottle (trust me, I no fan of this) you would not need to upgrade your injectors...where as with a Ported SC you would?!

So is it your opinion that a JLT 110mm MAF (and maybe a BAP) would be a good place to put my $$$$ ...say over gears?

well it depends on what you want... with my port I did not need injectors.. only the BAP and MAF... to my knowledge I wasn't going to need the injectors with the BAP for the nitrous I was going to run... but, I never found out for sure because I sold the car.

Like I said, I wouldn't do gears at all on these cars.. we already have the low end torque.. you really have to work on building your IRS, or swapping to the SRA (whichever is your pleasure). If you plan on a port, nitrous, blower swap.. then you might just want to put money away and save, save, save. This way you can get it all at once; you don't need a tune with the port, but with the MAF you will. So, plan to spend some money... but i'd do it all at once to save money on the tune...

And I still said port because most people don't realize that they can port.. and while it's not the stock blower.. it's not a blower swap... it's just a modified stock blower...

Thanks for the good info ^^^^ ...at this point I'm think I'm going to stick with the 3.55's, get the car on a dyno and make another run at the track! ...see what I have with my new changes (I've added HE & tanks since my 12.09) + I'm bolting on some 315 Nitto DR's...I would like to get my car in the 11.8's & I'd be happy! I do also have a BF 2.76 pulley sitting around...

I'm long time friends with Jay at JLT, so I'll get his opinions on the MAF as well ...he won't sell me something I don't need...

Port + supporting mods = your goal.
