Default Thinking of Purchasing a 2004 SVT Cobra

I was originally trying to get an 08 GT, but i found a couple low mileage cobras near my area. I was offered a 48month warranty for $1700 is it worth it? it covers the power train and some additional components. They have a warranty just for the power train which is a couple hundred less. If i take the warranty I'll pay it off cash, if not I'll use it for either a new macbook or mods lol.

I just want to hear how many people have warranty and how many don't. Whats the word on these cars, do they have a good track record? Any recalls i should be aware of?

Thanks in advance.

I have never purchased any warranties where I have to pay $$$$ ...try to collect if something does happen! ....better off just saving that $$$ or buying some new parts!

...Post some pics

Don't get the warrenty. It will hold you back usually with putting the mods you want on the car. Also screw the 08 gt, I had a 07 gt n it was crap. Just get the Terminator.

warranty = fail think of the mods you can get for 1700, much less what you could replace, engine + trans are solid, all forged internals and T-56, good stuff man pass on the warrenty

Yeah, these cars seem very reliable, not worth the warranty, imagine you paying $1,700 and never having a problem with the car at all, damn, you'd feel pretty stupid wouldn't you?

But then again, you'd feel pretty stupid If something was to go wrong and you didn't get the warranty and the cost to fix it would be way over $1,700....

Don't get it IMO.

Yes.. im stupid.... i bought the car new and i was afraid that the motor would blow or something so i got the frickin expensive warranty, only thing that happened was the coolant tank caps kept blowing off, so my 1700 warranty saved me approx -$1650...

DONT BUY THE WARRANTY

buying extra warranty on any mustang is stupid, the car will be modded and if they see anything thats not OEM, it gets voided.

I would wait till the 2011 mustangs come out, I'd love to see what they do with the 5.0 4v, I really wish they come out with the turbo 6 as well.
