spec clutch adjustment

Default spec clutch adjustment

i recently installed a stage 3 clutch from spec in my 04...... it is starting to chatter a bit during the break in period and i was wondering how easy it is to adjust it?

If you have the stock clutch adjuster, this is what I followed to get mine right.

i have an adjustment cable that runs into the engine bay but i dont know exactly how to adjust it.....

Spec clutches chatter, no matter what. Give it 1500 to 2000 miles and it will get better. It won't go away totally but it will get better.

most performance clutches will chatter, to check your adjustment press the clutch pedal with your hand lightly stop when you feel resistance, this is your "free play adjustment" if there is too much free play you will turn the fire wall adjuster either CW or CCW i cant remember what way does what.
