Default PFab Radiator Tank installed! ...question!

I got around today to installing my PFab Radiator Tank today! ...the only PROBLEM, when attempting to drain the fluid out of the radiator, the pet **** stopped about 1/2 out and the end snapped! (still have to get that out) ...ended up draining the radiator by pulling off the lower radiator hose!

I called Steve at Tousley Ford and he said this happens a lot with all the heat cycles, so I ordered the $4 rad drain part! My local Ford tech says the radiator is shot!! ...Question: Has this happen to anyone?? It's a plastic plug, can I just drill this out??

I really don't want to go out an get a new radiator if I don't have too....So now I'm sitting tight waiting for the new $4 part!!

Here's some pics with the new Pfab Tank (looks much better in person)...Thanks, Tim

mine broke to where i still had some of the hex in the middle to use...what you could do is get a small drill bit drill alittle hole not all the way threw and screw in slowly and see if that gets it the rest of the way

...Was it easy to get out? How long? ...I did start a little drilling (and tried an ease out), but I don't want to go to far until I get the new part to examine!

Thanks, Tim

ya it was very easy to get out...idk how far back yours broke but you know how the out side is for like a socket well the inside you can put a hex in....the plastic bolt head is all the broke off on mine...since you drilled that whole you may have drilled out the hex threads

depending on how big the piece is since its different than mine maybe you could get a skinny screw drive heat it up really hot and then jab it into the plactic melting it around the screw drived than twisting it out...im just throwin stuff out i would hate for you to get a new radiator

this is why i pumped the radiator fluid out from the tank, not the radiator.

i know that doesnt help.. just patting myself on the back
