hey svt guys i usually never post in here but figured this would be a good place for my question. I bought a 2003 cobra trunk for my gt and the third brake light is a little cracked. I heard this is common. Now i realize that i can't just buy a plastic covering because according to ford the whole assembly would need to be replaced for 180. So does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this with buying another brake light assembly as a last resort?

I believe you will just have to replace the whole thing. $180 is not that bad. My buddy was told $275.

 

glue it then paint it black to hide the crack.

 

ya i was thinking just glueing it then spray tinting it. Guess its worth a shot and if i screw it up ill buy a new one.
