also i emailed the guy and asked a few questions this is what he sent back:

"It still has the stock transmission. The compression is the stock ration. It has aftermarket cams and breathes great.
I have the dyno print out from JBA. Eric Cheney from Xtreme Mustang Performance in Aliso Viejo did all of the work. He has since closed that place and has a new one in Huntington Beach.
The odometer shows about 71,000 miles but it is actually less. I had 4:10 gears put in back in 2004 and never had a speedo/correct calibration installed until this Jan.
I don't know how to do the mechanical stuff so I paid to get it all done, either at XMP or JBA and have all of the receipts."

is $10,000 a good price for this car? also are there any other questions i should ask him b4 i go out and test drive it?

no the gears make the speedo (which in turn makes the odo) eff up.

but 10k is too high. a 96 with a 4v swap and vortech went for 8,5 at the mustang shop i go to... theres better deals out there.

Seems like a good price for a mystic. Them mystics get more rare by the day. Try to get all the orig. paper work with it.

he says that cuz he put 4.10 gears in it back in 04 and didnt get the speedo corrected until jan. 09

A 4v Swapped GT will never hold its value as well as an SVT, this car actually has a good bit of work done to it.


OP i wouldn't buy it unless you are planning on forced induction because its already fully built and set-up for forced induction, as i said in the 4.6 section, thats why its only making 308whp with a port and stage 2 cams...

yeah im gunna be getting my enlistment bonus soon and i was planning on buying a kb with it to put on the car or a centri idk yet but fi was definatly in its future if i get it i just didnt know if it was a good price or not thats why i posted this in the svt section i figured more people would know here im gunna offer him $8,500 that sounds fare to me hes trying to sell it fast anyway cuz he is moving so we will see

Why not go turbo on it? Does it have all the orig paper work? ex. owners manual, svt certificate?

keep in mind guys, if you've ever looked at 4v cams they start at right around $1100, + a stage 3 port (800+) not to mention new valves, and a forged rotating assembly, its got Over $3000 into the motor EASY with 20k on that motor.
