+1 for the supercharger wine. Sexiest thing there is next to a very nice throb of the exhaust! I'm thinking of saving for an 03 myself.

If you want to do the boost bypass, I highly recommend that you do NOT do the manual bypass. Do it only in your tune. Here's more info from my website FAQ page. http://stangshiftergaskets.com/2003_...m#_Toc35092406

What's all involved in doing a pulley swap? what are some of the cheap must-do mods when you first get one? what are some easy hp gains?

thanks guys, i figured you were the experts
If you're content with around 450rwhp you can get that very easily and inexpensively with an intake, catback, midpipe, 2.90/2.93 or 2.80/2.76 upper (with at least one auxiliary idler to prevent belt slippage) and a good tune. When I had the above mods (2.90 upper) I made 457rwhp and 480rwtq (SAE). Having a great tune did help. :-)

As far as avoiding drive-rain breakage at the track, drag radials have been proven to be half-shaft killers. The extreme shock from the car's launch is transmitted through the half-shaft and SNAP. Bias-ply/slicks will help soak up the shock of the launch and help you avoid breakage.
