Octane booster?
torco works just fine. do you know what you are talking about? 100 unleaded would cost him close to $6 a gallon. i know. i get 110 at the pump since i run 110 almost exclusivly and 100 unleaded is as much or more than the 110 i am getting for $6.35. if all he is doing is looking to be safe against a bad tank of gas it would be silly to run 100.
100 octane unleaded at cosby oil is $4 a gallon 110 leaded $5. The more you buy the cheaper. I us cosby for my fleet of trucks at work.
I have never used torco octane booster. Maybe its the greatest octane booster ever. The fact is you still would have a bad tank of gas with or with out octane booster
Torco while a good product does not make the numbers advertised. As far as octane boosters there are good ones as you can see in these test results. Here is a link to the test results of Torco and several Octane boosters. I run the Lucas and have no complaints. It does turn the plugs an orangeish color as does Torco.

that would be the most expensive route for sure, just adding 2 gallons race gas to a tank would be around $13 and put me up around 94 octane.
(im doing the math by adding 11 gallons @ 91 + 2 gallons @ 110 = 1,221/13 = 93.9. i dont know if thats the right way to do it.. but it makes sense to me)
torco would put me at 95 octane for about the same price.... AND i can carry the additive easily in the trunk.. i'd rather not carry gas cans.
I'll look into the Lucas as well... may be more readily available
