Default Octane booster?

does anybody know of a decent octane booster that i can use regularly on pump gas just to protect me against sh1tty gas (if i was to get a bad tank) and just improve performance overall otherwise..

My mechanic spooked me when he told me that i need to be careful when i get my car back, like its a bad tank away from grenading cause im pushing the limits of 91 octane

nah im not trying to do a race fuel setup, i just want to ensure that the gas stays @ 91 or above.... i dont know how common "bad gas" is but i figure 5 bucks every fillup is a nice warranty.
