knocking cobra
#11
and one more thing if it comes down to it where is a reasonable place to get engine internals and hardware from, and i thought that the cobras come with all forged internals stack, in that case i would hope that it onle ate into the rod bearing and not the rod, hope for the best though

knock
well thats the funny thing i washed it and checked the oil about 3 days prior, then drove it about 5 miles and heard a slight knock only when i rev the motor up so i pulled into the gas station and checked the oil and it WAS 4 QUARTS LOW... i didnt understand this being i had checked it and there was no oil in my parking space and the car dosent smoke (dont think any car can smoke that bad) so it is not a ba knock it went from where you can only hear it when you rev it up to by the time i got back home after filling her up with oil to a light knock when its idling, i dont think the damage is that bad but im going to pull her out next weekend and see what i am up against, thanks for all the info though.

thats low as hell, mine ran a quart and half low and had a lifter collapse on me... I was sure it was toast.. knocking like a bitch. Well anyway I put some moe oil in it and drove two blocks, went away and been fine ever since. But 4 quarts low is insane... esp on a 4v. I can't believe it wasn't chattering like a SOB before this happened.
