Default 03/04 Cobra Fuel Pumps

I put in a new 04 Cobra fuel pump hat/assembly on my 2000 GT a couple weeks ago. I also upgraded my wiring from this writeup:

http://www.modularfords.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=23656

(Basically 10G wire from battery to a relay to the FPDM then 10G wire from FPDM to fuel hat)

I am putting a blower on next weekend and am wondering how much hp (please specify RWHP or flywheel) this will support? Thanks.

the pumps should support 450- 475 RWHP, what about the injectors? have you swapped those as well? otherwise the stock injectors will probably max at 350

I thought it was around 500 rwhp but shouldn't it be more with the wiring upgrade?

I am using 60 lb/hr injectors with a SCT BA3000 MAF sensor. Aftercooled Vortech V1 with a 3.1 pulley. I might be pushing it close with these pumps right?

ya you would need to use that FPDM as a companion to a Boost-A-Pump, as for now, your FPDM is just allowing your car to push those Cobra pumps. and the STOCK pumps are only good until about 475.

adding a boost a pump will allow your current setup to go like 600, if your looking for more power than that, you should have probably used the Ford GT pumps.

I would not go over 480 rwhp on the stock pumps, unless you have a boost a pump...

I will eventually get GT pumps with dual FPDMs or a modified FPDM. But I want to get this car done this weekend. So it seems these pumps, even with all the upgraded wiring, will support 475-480 rwhp. In his first paragraph, the guy who wrote the wiring upgrade article in my OP said that his wiring upgrade is somewhat of an alternative to a BAP that's why I thought it should handle 500+ rwhp.

I don't think I'll be that high but I'll definately be a little over 400 rwhp. I will definately monitor fuel pump duty cycle on datalogging for a little while.

you should be fine for hp just over the 400whp range with those pumps and the wiring upgrade. my 03 cobra has a stock fuel system and has no probs with that hp range.
