What are the 0-60 and 1/4 times for these cars? My dads friend has a '07 GT500 and he said that the '03-'04 Cobras are faster.

i know that the 03 cobras are a couple hundred pounds lighter....

cobras are not faster stock for stock...although good luck finding a stock cobra and equally compitent drivers to dispute that. They are lighter but produce nearly 100 Hp and 90 TQ at the flywheel less than the GT500.

GT500 1/4 mile 12.82@113 mph - edmunds so you know that's conservative
04 Cobra - 1/4 mile 12.9@110 mph - nearly impossible to find times anymore of a STOCK cobra..

i say an episode on torque tv where they ran a stock 03/04 cobra against a stock gt 500. the did some drag runs and a road coarse on willow springs. the shelby won the road course and the svt won the drag runs?
as stated before, a drivers race.

I've raced 1 gt500 on the street and beat it by 1 1/2 cars. I am fairly stock. Like stated it all comes down to a drivers race and who can drive better. The guy I raced appeared to be in his 50's and just couldn't slam his gears fast enough and get as good of a launch as I did

there extremely close stock for stock, and have about the same potential on the stock motor, so that being said, termi for half the price
