im cobra just started having a weird idle yesterday. upon breaking to a complete stop the cars rpms drop to the point were it want to shut off. if i coast or put it in neutral and just let the car roll it is ok, but as soon as i get on the breaks it wants to die. i pulled off the iac valve and cleaned it out but still no good? any thoughts.

no check engine or codes, checking the maf was going to be my next thing, i just hate messing with that stupid jlt intake i have on.

 

i had a vacume line come off the other day that was affecting my car. it did not want to idle at all. that will also cause some different readings in the maf counts and can act likr a dirty maf would.

 

i taking the maf off to check it out, if im driving the just put the car in neutral and let it coast it will idle normal until i get on the breaks to stop the car then the idle starts acting funny.

 

cleaned the maf up just because i took it off but the problem was the rubber elbow that connects to the intake pipe on my jlt intake was barely on so the engine was getting air from there. i dont think that jlt fits very well in the first place but that is my opinion. put everything back together and my snake is now idling just fine now.

 

OH yeah! That's happened to me more than once, lol...

 

ya i wish i woulda got something diff...it looks cool but cant put a brace on now
