There are a handful of 9 sec Cobras running a stock T56, with JUST the input shaft/clutch upgrade...
x2. rating these things at 450 ft lbs is a joke. I am putting 820+ rwtq through mine woth just an input shaft upgrade with no issues to date.

Thats good to hear that the tranny is holding at that level. I am actually in the process of buying one once i get the pics ect.. he has the 26 spline input but i do not believe the internals have been messed with. What are they selling for normally? he is asking $1500 for it. has 26,000 miles. giving me the Centerforce DFX clutch, pressure plate, Cobra Aluminum driveshaft, and Steeda Tri Ax shifter with it. seem too good to be true? i googled his name and it comes up through out 3 forums and seems legit. "Vitoman"

Sorry for semi hijacking the thread. just need some advice right about now on this subject.

Call lethal performance and talk to Jared. Tell him that Martin referred you, and he will cut you a great deal!

Yes, I know Vitoman. He's a good guy. Dude converted a v6 stang into a Hellraiser Terminator (twin turbo PLUS supercharger)... He is as legit as it gets...

Thats what i wanted to hear!!!!!!! I thought he would be a good guy. been talking to him for a couple days and sounds down to earth.
im sold then.

Another ?, will a cobra aluminum drive shaft work on a gt? i dont see why not as it will be mounted up to the t56 and my SRA. just want to confirm this.

it should be fine. the bodys should be the same length and the 8.8 from a gt goes right into a cobra with the same driveshaft you are buying.
