puff of oil smoke?

pvc valve or valve seals . Was the car cold when it was started? or was it warmed up before you got there?
If you are in the cold part of the USA then its very easy to have seals go bad over 11 years with 51k miles. Hot then very cold then hot then cold then 11 years.

Beware if the car is warm every time you go look at it. Make sure it is the first start of the day

same problem here. bad valve seals for me.

yea my car did it once after it wouldnt start over a blown fuse for 2 days...i got one quick cloud and it went away...never ever seen that happen to me other than that and it did scare me..but then again all the stuff on the motor has only 1200 mi ....but good luck sounds like just the seals..you will be ok...the 4v is nothing but fun
