Default Pulley puller question

I just ordered a 2.80 press on pulley and 100mm aux idler from Metco, and I'm pretty excited to get this thing making some real boost. My question though is do I absolutely NEED the crazy expensive Billetflow or Metco pulley puller? I was thinking about using a regular pulley puller and if that fails, just having a shop pop the pulley off and on.

Thanks.

yes you need it, you can use a regular pulley puller to remove it, but you'll damage the old pulley. and the only way to get the pulley back on is with that same tool.
it may be cheaper to have a shop do it. im not sure what they would charge you.

do you have a handheld tuner? cause you can have them do the tune for ya too..

Yeah I'm going to be buying a used SCT to save some cash. I had one I used with my Mach but sold it because I didn't know how long I'd be without a compatible car. Turns out I ended up in the Terminator a month later..go figure.

Maybe I'll get a better deal if I have my tuner do everything. Thanks for the input!
