Sure you can make a 4 faster than a stock V8, that's actually a lot easier these days with the (IMO)stupid car makers jumping on the wagon, but any V8 given relatively the same mods will win in a good race, AWD excluded for an race off the line.
i got my a$$ handed to me by a EG civic with a turbo k20 motor not too long ago,(before my blower swap) the whole car complete probably cost that kid 12k...
that car had oem si wheels, orignal paint, hood, no stickers, no 14 spoilers on a hatchback, no Flava Flave clock sized tach on the dashboard... just a crap load of suspension and full cage.
I kept telling myself, NOW THATS HOW YOU MOD A IMPORT!!!..
Haha if he had the whole Transformer body kit, hello kitty stickers, numbers, front spoilers, back triple stacked spoiler, neon undercarriage lights ..... and still beat me? ya i would have just kept driving..... in shame.....

Yeah, but how often does something like that happen? I love fast cars, don't get me wrong but the RICED out cars need to die, not just "sport compacts" either, mustangs can be made to look shi**y just like any. I would give props to that guy for just making it fast. We do pay a little more for a larger starting point then they do but we also have more potential then the 4/6cyls. Like I said, mod for mod V8 wins, just like us racing a V10 lol.

but seriously.... theyre not that fast in a 1/4... eventually you'll catch up (stock for stock anwyays) in an 1/8th though, your toast.

unfortunately, theyre pretty easy to mod, so the liklyhood of you running a bone stock one is pretty slim. Id say Drag radials, full exhuast, weight reducation and nice shot of Nos to beat it in an 1/8th..

JUST ROLL RACE!!!! (ya right.... try and get an sti driver to roll race... lol)
