Default Gear confusion

Im confused as to what gears may be in my car. Its a 98 Cobra with a t45, 285/40/17 on the rear. So cruising at 65mph in 5th gear i am at 2400-2450 rpms. When i put this input into a gear calculator, it tells me I have 4.30's. The car does not pull like it has 4.30s at all, more like 3.55's or 3.73's. Also from a 10mph roll in first gear, i spin all the way through first and a little more than half of second gear. Not sure if i could do that with 3.55's.

Not sure.. Never had a T45.. All I can tell you is that in my 3650 with 4.30's... there's no point in using first gear for daily driving...

put your car on jackstands and watch the driveshaft spin.. mark it with a piece of tape or chalk and watch it rotate.
just count how many times the mark goes around
