I am interested in buying a 1999 svt,but now ive heard that the 32valve engine is no good and the engine should have been taken out of production of the same rison, if it is true what breaks on it and what is there to take care for. hope you can help me decide. NP
hers a serious answer just in case: the 4.6 or 5.4 32 valve DOHC motors are very good. The 99 motor isn't as good as the 03-04 or 07+ but they are a good bit better than any of the SOHC motors in the GT mustangs.
Probably one of the best production engines Ford ever made. Yes in my opinion even better than a 5.slow
OP who ever told you that a DOHC is junk either stupid or a die hard for another Manufacture

I make 902 HP with my STOCK 32V...whomever told you that should be taken out back, buried up to his neck in dirt, and summarily stoned and beaten until near death...only to die from dehydration.
