Default My 1996 Cobra

Okay I'm 16. just got my license and a '96 Cobra is my 1st car. The car is completely stock, tan interior still smells new, seats are barely broken in. has 42k miles on it. Garaged kept for 2 years been out 3-4 times in that period. The car itself is in perfect condition with no dings or anything. I plan on taking those junk mustang rims off and putting back the original cobra 1s with nitto invos. Only thing I changed was the headlights and tail lights to a more euro look.

I was wondering what I could do to get a quicker acceleration out of the car. Not so much into to top speed because you can only go 70-80 mph on freeway lmao.

new picture. dont mind the trans am.

(i sux at taking pictures)

first..... this.....
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS
THEN! 4.10 gears will solve your acceleration needs

but since you now own a mustang...... youre going to end up getting headers, catback, midpipe, tune, intake, underdrive pulleys, lowering springs...

then that wont be enough....

im sorry.....

BUT CONGRADULATIONS ON THE CAR!!!! AND LICENSE!!!!

you won't find many fans of chrome aftermarket tailights here... But congrats on the car I wish I had one as my first instead of my saturn.

meh i got like those clear washout white front lights. lool. im done with exterior modding lool. i think upgrading that is silly unless you have a real cool design that your going fulfill. i just did'nt like the lights it had cuz it looked like a boring old mustang. i had to put those 05 mustang wheels cuz the original 1s had no thread on it. alredy got the tires on the original rims.

ill place an order for those gear when i get out of school tomorow. i hope i dont get addicted to this stuff. but a kid at my school with an 01 gt pissed me off by dissing my car, saying he could beat it.

EDIT: Would the 4.30 be better then 4.10s?

4.30's ftw but lookin back I would do 4.56's and never look back. Then theres also the IMRC delete and a shortrunner intake. I know you have probably heard it a thousand times but stick to the track you dont want to loose your license. ( PS clean the IMRC's before they get dirty)

...Must be nice to be 16 and have a Cobra! ...Leave it stock until you have some seat time and can handle the power!
