Default no cats vs. high flow cats

i am now a proud owner of a 2004 competition orange convertible cobra, and its completely stock right now.....just want to know what kind of diff there is between no cat x pipe, and a hi-flow catted pipe? i want the most aggresive, deep sound possible, with lots of pop in the exhaust, just wondering what would be best for it? any info would be great

It all depends on what kinda of catback exhaust you going to go with. Flowmaster & Mac sound good with a o/r H. Borla stingers and Bassani Sounds best with a catted x. Magnaflow sounds best with o/r X. Go on youtube and search exhaust clips of cobras.

I'll have to disagree with the "above" post. Any O/R H or X pipe is going to sound more aggressive than a Catted one...

Its not just the midpipe. He needs to give us more info with which catback he is going to go with because o/r don't always sounds aggressive with all catbacks. Take SLP loudmouth 1's or Borla Stingers, They both sound like *** with any o/r pipe.

^agreed... resonators sound like *** IMO with O/R X

the best thing to do is what Jon said... go to youtube and listen to the exhuast notes.

I have SLP 2's with catted X, stock headers

im running a o/r pypes x-pipe with magna flow and stock exhaust manifolds, sounds really clean but aggressive when you get on the go pedal. if you want loud, aggressive, with exhaust popping, you are going to want to get an o/r mid pipe. besides they cost less $$$ than a catted mid pipe too.
