I've been having problems with my 1997 cobra I bought a few weeks ago with it having a bad startup idle and rough driving when I first start driving her. Right when I would start it up it would go from a cold to hot idle.. back and forth until it leveled out.. almost dying when it would go down to about 400rpms. And when I would drive it it would surge/hesitate when I would hit the gas. It would go away after I get over about 3,000 rpms, and it would go away all together after a few minutes of driving.

The idle problem only happens when I first start up my car everyday. The driving problem happens if I let the car sit for more then an hour or so, other then that it seems fine.

My car right now is at the mechanic and he told me the same code keeps popping up. Code: 1232. I tried searching for it and couldn't find much info on it and he hasn't even heard of it. The code has something to do with the fuel pump but I have good fuel pressure and he thinks it's the wiring. He also told me my fans are hotwired to be on all the time and that seems a bit weird so he told me it could be drawing power from the pump somehow. So if anyone has input or has at least had experience with this problem/code before please let me know. Thanks in advance.
