best tranny

im pretty sure the 96 cobra is going to need a new tranny asap, im going to take it to my mechanic tuesday to find out but if i do what is the best one out there for a 96 cobra? i wouldnt want to go back to stock

If you want to stay 5 speed, you could upgrade to a 3650.
Otherwise, you could go with a T56.

my 3650 just blew apart on me they are a POS... i will be going with a C4 and trans brake soon
