New Cobra Owner
You have to decide how much $$$ you're willing to throw down before a to do list can be created. On top of that you need to decide what you're going to do with the car...Drag, Auto X, Road Race, Show car, DD, etc. Then we can collectively tell you the best places to invest your cash.
But for starters if you're keeping the IRS a brace is mandatory. Other than that, Kurgan is right...a CAI, Exhaust, and a tune is a pretty good (and fun) start. I wouldn't even waste your money on a pulley or ported blower unless you're 100% SURE that you're staying with the Eaton. If you're thinking of a blower swap...save your money.
Congrats too, you stole that car at 13.5. When i bought mine new (for 36K) the mystic option would've brought the price to 41K.

500 rwhp means AT LEAST a ported eaton...
Don't waste your money on the head cooling mod. It's not a mandatory product. I agree with MFJ, if you want 500 to the ground, the Eaton needs work. Consider spending $$$ on a pulley/port job and a good tune. Maybe even a little shot of spray. 500 is doable on blower alone, but the tune needs to be really aggressive to get there. Typical ported/pullied numbers are in the 475 rwhp range. For a start though, I'd go with a Bassani X-pipe (with cats) as there is no real power loss with their cats (I actually gained a few ft. lbs. by installing them instead of running with no cats). Throw in a set of 3.73's or 3.90's for a real kick in the pants. Consider a hand-held tuner a MUST!!!
