Would you guys rather buy a 2004 Cobra, or a newer GT 500?

I ask this because I am really torn here. The GT 500 is really a lot more expensive and the insurance would probably be a lot more too. But the sheer power that comes factory is pretty impressive.

However, I think that the bodies on the 2004's are a lot better looking.

I am really not sure how the Cobra performs in stock form, but with around 420 HP stock (I have heard that thats the number) it seems like a pretty powerful car too.

I dunno, this really might be a mixed post here.

Please tell me your guys' opinions.

 

i would get the 04 cobra just bc i have one lol it alot cheaper you can find ones with low miles for 22k plus they look alot better then the gt500 just .02 cents.

aftermarket blower/turbo
rape gt500s/vettes

 

both are about the same speedwise, with maybe the gt500 a hair ahead.

i like the look of the terminators more, so thats what i would go with.

 

iirc i think the gt-500s dyno right around 420whp

cobras 370ishwhp.

factor in the weight i still think the gt-500s are faster.

however.

$22k for cobra + ported blower + pulley + full bolt ons = 450-490whp cobra for ~$25k.

where are you from? anywhere around MD? i know of a sick 04 orange one low miles for sale, i think he wants right around $23k(the payoff), it made 483/460 with basically the mods i listed.

 

the gt-500s are great cars if u have the money, you can do the same mods to a gt-500 as you do a 03 cobra and the gt-500 will produce 150 or so more hp pretty easy to see 600-700rwhp on a gt-500.. how ever you can get 600 rwhp on a cobra no problem as well my car with a 2.2 kb has 601 and i paid 1/2 the price or less for it all said and done my car was around 24-25k for 601 rwhp as svt said above

 

Terminator, hands down...

 

god knows I love the gt-500's. and not to stereotype, but i see a lot of middle-aged men who i can tell dont know too much about cars in the gt-500's. every time i see another terminator drive by, it looks like some thrilled to death young guy who knows what is under his right foot!

 

Ive been offered a couple trades for one... i'll keep my Terminator

Both are great cars and you can't go wrong with either. IMO I like the way the terminator looks more. Not to mention the terminators sound better IMO. What you need to do is go test drive both and see which one you like more. We can make this decision for you. You won't know what you want untill you actually drive and sit in both of them.
