I power shift with no problems.... but then again... I know what Im doing. I just had an interesting read on the new TR60/60... If I buy another manual trans... that will be it. It is worth while imo to read up on it, you may be able to get one for close to as much as your talking about spending... but its a MUCH better transmission

no way the tr60's are like $3,000, it doesnt matter if you know what your doing or not, lol miss 3rd once or twice and your tranny will be grenaded while power shifting, im sure i dont need to explain the wear powershifting puts on your transmission no matter how much u know about what your doing...one thing u can do that a lot of people dont realize is run a no lift shift module which reduces the chances of missing the gear also it allows the tranny to synchonize better. n2mb makes one with a couple cool features like built in 2 step, shift logger and fully customizable tables but thats for another topic, not really sure why this trans went out since im not the original owner ive only driven the car maybe 2,500 miles since i bought it, but i got it at a good price so not worried about the $800 for a minor rebuild.

knowing what your doing implies that you dont miss your shift... but Id be much more worried about popping the top then hurting the tranny on a missed powershift.

that trans is a good price for someone but im only gonna pay $800 for my t-56 synchro rebuild with a 12,000 mile warranty and i only drive about 1,000 miles a year so the warranty will expire before i reach the 12,000 miles, with shipping that trans is still probly over 2,500
