Default What year Cobra to buy?

OK, I have decided to get a 96-98 cobra and would like a little info and opinion on which year is best.

What I think I know:
1. Something on the intake on the 96 models and some 97's get carbon build up and need to be cleaned periodically.
2. 96-97's have return line fuel system and the 98 is returnless.
3. all 96-98 models have 2 of the 4 tower coil packs instead of the 8 individual ones like are found on 99-04's.

Info incorrect or any other info I might need?

96 to 98 are pretty much the same cars
all 96/98 4V have the IMRC's that can Carbon up. The IMRC's on the 98 are a Composite plastic to help with Heat Soak. Most people Delete the IMRC's but you loose low end torque doing it. Can be fixed with a taller gear but if your going Turbo you will want to figure out your best move

Somebody told me today that '96 cobras overheat because they have a smaller radiator and that the 97-98 carpet padding is thinner. Anyone confirm or deny?

Is the '98 a returnless fuel system?

Why not a 99/01 or even a 03/04?

A 96-98 can be had for around 6-7K, 99-02 for around 11-14k and 03-04's way out of price range. I also like the 96-98 body style better and from what I have read the engine blocks are teksid which are also better.
