BATTERY RELOCATION
okay im wanting to place my batter in the trunk, i need somone to tell me how it needs to be done, iv heard that i can ground the negative to the body in the trunk, and iv had somone tell me that i need to take that negative all the way from the trunk to the block, anyone got a pictured graph of how it needs to be done, seems a little confusing, the reason i dont know this is because my motor has been out for about 10 months and i basicly forgot how it went. thanks let me know

the pos. cable has to be ran back up front. just remember that some tracks require u to have a remote battery kill switch accessible from the outside of the car if you battery is moved from the stock location.

I wish i owned a cobra...but i relocated my battery in my 01 mustang gt using the summit racing nhra compliant battery relocation kit. I took the negative and drilled through the body and grounded it on a rear bumper bolt under the cover. the positive i ran to the starter it fit really nice. i then took all of the wires up front where the old battery was and combined all the grounds. I then cut the positive connector which went to the old battery location back where it connected to the fuse panel right behind the old battery location. i then threw a new connector on that one and put it to the fuse panel where it originally was. so basically that wire goes from the starter to the fuse panel. i mounted the box and ran the positive wire creatively through the frame and along the bottom of the car. there is a vent tube which is pretty self explanatory how to mount. I hope that this was helpful for you and that i explained it well enough. Oh and i used thermal shrink covering stuff around all the connections to give it that professional look. I am not going to lie, it took me a while to do. I try to be a perfectionist even though it prob does not look that good. i do not have pictures but if you want them i will get you some. if you have any questions i will answer to the best of my ability for ya.
