Just had a spec stage 2 installed on my 04 cobra. When i barely put my foot on the clutch i hear a noise that sounds like my throwout bearing rattleing like it did b4 i replaced it.. Im hoping this is not common. I had them replace the sleeve as well. any info would be helpful

 

...If the clutch was installed at a shop, bring it back to them!

 

I'm just hoping you or the shop didn't use the throwout bearing that comes with the Spec kit, it's complete crap, might be the problem.

 

im getting something somewhat similar on a brand new spec 2 clutch. was fine when I first installed it but with days its now acting up.

out of no where the clutch now feels soft and i hear a ticking when the clutch is disengaged, goes away when i press in the clutch.

 

i also had a bad t/b on my spec clutch so i replaced it with a centerforce df

 

Spec clutches are KNOWN for chattering... Usually goes away after a while...

 

I also took the same route in getting the centerforce tob. As soon as I received the clutch, I got the spec tob and tossed it. Did the clutch job and everything came out good.
