speedometer question
well after some searching I located two companies in the South Florida area. Leospeedometer in Miami for $30.00 and Double Nickles out of Jupiter which is a mobile test unit for $45.00.
there is the old fashioned way......take the instrument panel out, remove the plastic cover, reinstall the instrument panel, have a friend drive with another car, while you are both doing x mph, take the pointer off and reinstall while driving at the set speed, and reinstall pointing to the right x mph numeral.
a fork works well in removing the pointer, just be gentle.
i have done it that way, but it takes time and effort.
i also went the so-called professional way and paid $50.....Moody ford, i believe, north Titusville.
with the first, $50 stayed in my pocket, with the second i had very little to do except pay the bill.
it all depends on your priorities.......
happy thanksgiving!
