Cool motor noise

I have a 98 cobra with 82K on it it runs great other than some motor noise which sound like a spun rod bearing or a bad wrist pin.The car makes the noise when you rev it,not at idle, and constantly at about 2000-2400 rpms.I am going to tear into this motor but would like to get some suggestions of what this noise might be.If anybody has any suggestions I am always open for ideas. Thanks for the help and you can email me here or at autolover70@yahoo.com

Default sound

We have almost the exact same sound I bet. If you look at the thread a few down from here from rokgtar, you will see we have a similar sound going on i bet. Do yourself a favor, and just check what we were told. Also, disconnect the belt, from all of the auxiliary equipment, and then see if the sound is still there...

Ugh. That sounds very much like a rod. It's a much heavier noise than the ones that I have been documenting.

on a 4 banger that i was messing with before that had a bad spun bearing, the pieces were in the oil when i drained it. i poured it in to a clear container and i could see then at the bottom. have fun tearing in to them motor.
