Default 98 cobra with a 2003 terminator motor help

What would it take to put a 2003 termi motor in the 98 cobra? We have an opportunity to get one for a decent price, and would like to know the differences, advantages, disadvantages, etc. The termi motor doesnt have the eaton blower on it... thus the decent price...

why would you ant to swap motors out? the 98 block can handle more hp and tq than the termi motor. the problem with the 98 is the internals and the heads. upgrade these and the motor would be able to handle alot. the block of the 98 is a special block since it was made in teksid, italy by fiat. the block can handle around 1500 hp. im keeping the block for mine. but the 03 motor will fit in fine. no fab needed. the main advantages of the 03 are the heads and internals. so my advice is to save your money and by better internals, some better flowing heads, suspension mods and drivetrain mods.

I have yet to see a Termi block fail. I, myself, am running a ridiculous amount of hp and boost and have yet to come across ANY problems.

never said it would fail. just stated that the teksid block would handle more.

Your statement cannot be backed up in any way shape or form...

True the Teksid Blocks can handle a lot more than the WAP Aluminum Blocks, but there is no proof that it is ANY more solid than a Termi Cast Iron block...

...03/04 Termi stock blocks have handled near or over 1,000 hp with a TT set-up...

its really hard to prove a block failure vs internal failure ive seen what we think is the block failing on a termi, it had 1200 hp with an 88mm turbo looks like the main webbings cracked first and then the block cracked on a water jacket and hydrolocked. there wasnt much left of the motor to really tell what happend tho
