Homemade Custom Hood Scoop Insert

Homemade Custom Hood Scoop Insert
Have you guys ever made a custom hood scoop insert? I am missing those on my hood.
I have a hood smimiliar to this: SLN 900
http://www.abcexclusive.com/hoods_main.htm#sln900
Instead of 1 hole on each side, I have 3 an it's a fiberglass hood. It came with the car when I bought it.
Problem is the majority of the companies I have been contacting online do not provide custom hood insert. They only have them specially made for the hoods they make.
I have been reading online that I can make them with Screen Mesh material that I can locally buy at a hardware store.
Do you guys have any input? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
-Frank

i did a home made deal on mine, but i ised a oem torino hood scoop on top of my cowl hood.
my dominator carb sucks cool air right in
the factory scoop has studs that go down thru the hood, but i pulled them out and used screws...
but in the end of it all, it looked like this.
i even had it wired up that the turn signal indicators on the back of it worked with the lights.
but buy some wire screening, glue , then glass it in..are the holes cut out for them already?
