Default brake problem!

so i was under my snake rotating the tires, i looked on my rear brakes and noticed that on my passenger rear caliper, the small spring the hooks up to the e-brake bracket on the caliper was missing! has anyone every had something similar happen? i looked at my gt stangs rear caliper and the springs looked similar so i can find one at a salvage yard easily. my snake is not a daily driver but what problems could i run in to if i drove it like that and how hard is it to put on. looks like its going to b a PITA to get on. thx for any help

I'm don't know a ton about brake set ups, but I'm fairly sure that spring only purpose is to release the caliper when you release the e-brake. Not 100% on that though, it could even help release the caliper when you take your foot off the brake.
Big set of vice grips will make for an easy install.
