Default Cant figure out my engine problem...

Ok, well I was on my way back to base, and i noticed that my engine was knocking. I was almost back when all of a sudden my engine began to lose power in I believe either 3rd or 4th gear. Next it shut off. I got it towed to the house and ran a scanner on it. My cam position sensor was bad so i replaced it. Alternator went bad, replaced it. Now the confusing part, the CODE P1000 wont go away and when i start my car, it had a high idle and a low idle constantly going back and forth then eventually dies. I tried driving it down the road and it basically has 20% power, and then began smoking from the back of the engine i believe. Its a 99 SVT Cobra with 79,XXX miles on it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

"P1000 is not actually a trouble code. It just means that the Readiness code has not been set yet or in other words, the engine computer hasn't completed testing certain emission control components. If there is no other problems with the car emission system, the code P1000 will disappear after driving for some time (the drive cycle must include idling, stop and go traffic, acceleration and steady cruising)."

What color was the smoke? Blue=Oil Black=Rich A/F mix White=Coolant

The smoke was white. I took it to a mustang specialty shop and I guess the guy did a compression gauging, and told me that the engine isnt holding compression in the back of the motor.

Sounds like a blown head gasket or a warped head due to overheating. Listen for escaping air coming from the vacuum lines or PCV valve when turning over your engine, and look for bubbles in your coolant system.
