I need a new rear differential because i am looking to get a s/c in the future and i am afraid the added torque will break my stock differential. So if anyone knows of any good websites to get them off of that would be awesome and i also need to know if the rear is 8.8" or 7.5" becuase the svt website doesnt list it. thanks.

 

I'm assuming you have a 98 Cobra. You have a 8.8 Differential but if not here is how you know 86 and up GT or V8 models will have a 8.8 Ford puts the 7.5 in the 4 bangers and the 6ers.

Check mustangtuning.com, summitracing.com, 50resto.com or any aftermarker web site will have gears. I can't give you advise on what brand or what ratio. but if you do a search there probably is 1000 threads on gears
