offset question??

hi all, i am buying godspeed omega wheels for my 98 cobra, they only have the high offset for 18" x9&10 witch is +42. now what i need for my car is the low offset +24, they tell me with a 1/4" spacer it will work and the offset will be +24... is that right?? or do i need a bigger spacer, also without me changing the studs..
any help will be great!

Anymore than a quarter inch spacer and you will need extended lug bolts--or spacers w/ lug bolts...
