Default Just bought an 03 Cobra...help on mods...

So I just bought an 03 Cobra, got rid of my 08 GT. I will be able to pick it up in a few weeks when I get my leave, but I just had a few questions. I know the car has some mods, I don't have the full list, but I will try to provide it later. It definitely doesn't have a CAI, so I was wondering which route to go, JLT Ram Air kit or the JLT CAI? Also, can I use my SCT 2 that I was using on my 08 on the Cobra? I am a brand new manual driver, just wanted to throw that in there lol. All help is appreciated, thanks.

Either JLT will be fine. I prefer the RAI thou. Also the car already seems to have an upper pulley done. You need to get and "Idler Pulley" on there and also get the tune checked out. These cars are not like S197's where you can just use a hand-held. These cars need a dyno tune for most things. I would stay out of boost untill you get a idler pulley on there and get it dyno tuned. Also do the "head cooling mod" and "BF IRS brace". I think thats about it and welcome to the svt family!

Thanks for the info. So would a UPR idler pulley be a good choice?

Thanks, both of yours look great. I am lucky enough to find ONE! Is the idler pulley a must have?

Yes an idle pulley is a must have along with a dyno tune. The rule of thumb is you do the Upper pulley, Idler, and Dyno tune all at the same time. When you start adding boost with a smaller pulley you air/fuel changes. If the car does not have the proper tune in it you can blow your motor, so that's why I said stay out of boost untill you get a dyno tune.

Ok so I just found out the mod list on the car, here it is:

Borla Stinger Cutouts, Ford Racing 3.73 Gears, Ford Racing differential, IRS Polyurethane bushings, 2.75 Reichard Racing Pulley, Reichard Racing Idler Pulley, Pro 5.0 Shifter, Spec 3+ Clutch, Spec billet flywheel, forged built T-56 transmission, Carbon fiber gears, Liberty 26" Spline input shaft..

This is what the dealer told me, I am trying to find out if it was ever dynoed. The guy who sold it to them owns 2 other Terminators. Anyway, any thoughts of what kind of power I am looking at and what else I need? Thanks.
