My apologies....the one down this way is a 1997 SVT Cobra with 30K miles.......I thought it was a '99.

 

I think you should just let this one go.

 

If you do go look at it, don't be afraid to look at it, meaning crawl up under it an go over it with a fine tooth comb as the old saying goes, if the frame rails are good, the torq boxes look good, the floor pans look good, then it would still be worth at least $4000-$4500. Could have been a rock chip which caused the rust spots you mentioned with the stuff they use on the roads today in the winter! Just check it really good and make offer accordingly, best advice i can give!

 

Thanks guys. I really wanted some good advice from you all who have Cobra's and have experience with them. I know its rough around the edges and eventually with enough time and money I could fix her up. I want a 99 Cobra really bad and obviously in the best shape and value I can get.............just don't have upwards of 10k to spend. Thats why at this price, it is so tempting to want.
