Way too many miles. I wouldn't even consider buying a car with over 70k.

If it was free I would do it. It still would be barely worth the insurance IMO.

So you think that the 100k miles on the car is making it really not worth it? How come? Besides the obvious stress on some of the suspension and motor......it is going to technically be my "project (work on)" car. Of course I want to work on it, but not dump thousands of thousands of dollars into her right away.

I wouldnt be scared by the miles so much the trans issue. Also its missing the the passenger side fog light. So it does not look it it was well taken care of. Whats your budget for a cobra?

Yeah the guy is aware of the missing fog light too. I really would love to have a 99 or 01 Cobra, because I cannot get nearly close to affording an 03+ one. I have my 93' 5.0 LX that I want to sell or trade to help with the Cobra.........but my price range would be around 7-8k depending on the car and if I can get a decent price for my fox.

well I would not be TOTALLY against a 98 Cobra. Of course the IRS would be a great incentive for me.....why do you have one? lol

All cobras 99-04 have an irs. But for your price range you can get a nice 98, a ok 99 or a not so good 01. Its up to you.

Yeah I know all 99-04's have the IRS. I like the body styling better on the new edge's. Of course I want the 4-valve V8 more than anything.

Did you take a look at the other cobra I listed on here? I put a link to the photo album. I know the trans needs some work, if its just the synchros how bad is that? I have no trans. experience.

The problem is he said he thinks its just the synchros. you never buy another persons mess no matter how bad you want the car. For all you know the whole trans could be screwed and you will have to get a new one. Trust me i have been down this road before with mt GT and i didnt take my fathers advice which i am giving you now.
