Default Help on new shifter

I want to improve my shifter on my cobra, and i see that you can get just the new handle, or a new entire aftermarket shifter. Is it worth getting the whole shifter or is just the handle fine. And what is the most common shifter for street use?

Get the MGW, it has two interchangeable handles for different tastes. It's a good quality part and feels right when shifting.

Replace the entire shifter, you will love the feel of a quality after market product.
There are several good shifters on the market. I love my Steeda Tri-Ax.

what makes the Steeda Tri-ax so much better than the one Ford makes? I was looking at the pic and it looks like a hunk of metal to me. Smoother shifts? faster shifts?

So everybody likes the Steeda Tri-ax, it's a short-throw right?

DO NOT GET THE TRIAX.

I have had both the triax, and the mgw. The mgw is built much better, quieter, and overall smoother.

Coming from a guy who's had both, trust me, the mgw is superior in every way.
