Question 4v Bolt-on Question

I've finally lined up enough cash to get a '99-'01 4v.

My question concerns "bolt-on" performance as I will only be able to mod lightly for a while i.e. no F/I.

I've never had a 4v... and can only gauge the effective performance gains on what I've done to my sixxer. Knowing that the two are worlds apart, what bolt-ons are worth the cash and what are more or less a waste? Feel free to add anything I've missed.

SCT tuner, CAI, UDP's, TB, MAF, Exhaust (LT's, Mid, Catback), and gears I know are a necessity but it's a question of 4.10's, 4.30's, or 4.56's?

If your car is going to see a lot of freeway miles, definitely 4.10's... (4.30's and 4.56's will waste your gas and require higher rpm cruising) I would just do a nice exhaust (o/r x pipe and a 2.5 inch cat back of your choice), cold air intake, short throw shifter. I wouldn't bother with headers. And yeah, a custom dyno tune will make everything run better. SCT or Diablo...

There isn't much power to be gained with an aftermarket TB. The stock unit is pretty good. UD pulleys are really a waste of time, imho, as well.

I wouldn't waste my time with UD pulleys. It MAY add 2-3 hp, if that...

Ok, thanks guys. Any other mods that should be a priority (IRS brace, subframe connectors, springs, etc?) mind you this will be pretty much a DD that may see some spirited summer driving with the rarest of track duty.

Fat tires huh? Not too likely. What's the widest tire that'll fit on the stock wheels 275?

Head cooling mod is completely unnecessary for a 99/01 Cobra, imo...

Ok, one last question...for now.

A 6-speed swap. This would of course be a "down the road" mod, but how difficult is the T-56 to swap into in place of the T3650?
