He says it's " a beast" and there may be good reason for the aggressive hood, but I have no idea. He was asking $12-$13, but I told him I MIGHT entertain giving him around $10k, if it's indeed in showroom condition and has an upgraded suspension of some sort. I'm willing to bet that if the engine has any work, he probably doesn't even know about it. Who knows, maybe it's blown I'll find out.

I would not give him 10. For that money you can buy a real 01 cobra. 12-13 grand for a 01 gt, that guy needs to lay off the crack and leave fantasy island. If you really want to know what to offer him, look up the going prices on kelly blue book for excellent condition. Then look up excellent condition trade in value and that is what they bought it for give or take a little.

I think I'd like the hood better without the hood scope....Car does appear to be a GT!

The seller probably knows exactly what it is and is trying to find someone who will be fooled into thinking it is a real Cobra. Sounds cynical I know... Definitely get kbb on the car (if it is clean and you want it) and let that be your guide...

sadly theres people that do try this method to sell a car. Sure it has a cobra front bumper and the emblems...sometimes thats enough to fool people who dont know any better. At least you were smart enough to ask. Like others have said i wouldnt pay more than 8k even if its brand new looking.

Car look great. Sucks he has to add "Cobra" to it, to make it sound better. Oh well, glad you didn't get duped!
