Hey guys really need sum help with my 03. im putting down 570 wheel with a whipple now and would really like to build up the rear end before i do anymore power.. im lost with what i should do when it comes to it. I read a few forums about the IRS brace and bushings.. wheres a good web site for these parts...anything else i should upgrade? that may break on a high rpm launch..?

Ps. just bough Mickey Thompson ET streets 315/30/18 so really looking to grip this summer.

ok thank you for all the help..
my friend just informed me about a SOLID AXLE swap with an 8.8 rear. is that worth it? or is the IRS brace, bushing, and IRS Subframe Support Brackets enough ? sounds like the swap would need alot to get it together. just looking for views on what others have done.. and if u guys like what u did?

thanks everyone.

IRS is more expensive to build but will ride better.

Solid is cheaper to build but will not ride as good as an IRS.

I've Never owned a IRS, but pleny of my friends have 03/04s and I must say built for built I would still take a solid of an IRS even if they were equal, just like the oldschool whipping around the a$$ end of a muscle car.

Swapping a solid axle in isn't hard at all, you just need the rear, control arms, and a solid axle catback exhaust.

personally i have a solid in mine my 01 had an IRS and i was dropped some coin trying to make it hold up to abuse and i was still worried but with the solid i dont have to worry as much!! plus for the strength my solid has totally out ways what the irs would ever have...IMO i havent noticed a diff from IRS to solid just dont have wheel hope and i dont have to worry when i beat on her... like uberstang said its an easy swap takes no time cheap and easy!!
