Help
OK, I just installed a Whipple 2.3l gen I, with 60lb inj, Boost a Pump with 3.5 pulley and I am stock below. I had it street tuned by a well known tuner here in town and he could not get the bugs out. Any RPMs below 2000 it falls on its face, starts to bogg, jerk and then comes alive. What should I do? Even in the higher RPMs in 3rd, 4th it boggs a little, spits, jerks, then comes alive, not smooth at all. Any suggestions?
Im hoping it is the tuner, I dropped it off to him with the stock inj, and the TR6 plugs where gap .32, he did not regap them to .28 where I think they should be and he said that isnt my problem.
After he woulda said that to me i would for sure take it esle where because he doesnt care about it. where in TN are you?
ya dude thats all the tuners issue...first off it 100% sounds like a tuning issue that he should be able to fix..the prob with alot of tuners is they get the software and they make it dummy proof so everyone thinks they can tune a car well there wrong specially right here cause hes lost...second off he should be able to tell you whats wrong with it if it is mechanical!! keep looking and asking around here for good tuners try out svtperformance.com there are more guys over there that might know some good ppl in TN...spare NOO EXPENSE with your tune its live or die!!!
I went out this morning to start it, and it would just turn over, over, over but would not start. I did it for about a good 10-15 trys and pump the gas a few times, same thing, pumped more thinking I am going to flud it, but it finally came to alive. I drove it to work and it runs like ****. I am ready to yank everything out and go back stock.
