Hello,

I am getting ready to work on a 1997 cobra svt. I have worked on the 5.4 3v engines, but not the 4.6. I do not have the car in my possession yet. The owner says that the car will only run at WOT. What are the most common causes for this. I am trying not to waste time and money to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

i have never hear of an engine only running at WOT, start at the beginning, pull codes and see what u got. most times customers are describing the concern all sorts of incorrectly

 

change the fuel filter not gonna be an exact fix but it will certainly narrow down your issues.
