Default Dealer markup on 2003 Cob

I've decided to treat myself to a 2003 Cobra within the next couple of weeks, but had a question some of you may be able to answer.</P>

I have a family member who is an employee at a Ford Assembly Plant and gets the B-Plan (I believe it's "B"). From what I understand, he gets 2% under the dealer's cost. I also am eligible for the X-Plan through my job ($2000 off negotiated price). I'm pretty sure I only get one or the other per purchase.</P>

My question is this;</P>

- Does anyone have any clue what the dealer's mark-up is? I'd like to have an idea of which route would save me the most amount of money as this is a fairly huge purchase.</P>

Thanks in advance for the quick replies guys.</P>

Default Dealer markup on 2003 Cob

Hey man, i work at a dealership in va, that sells several makes of vehicles, including ford. I dont know where you live, and how the dealerships differ from here, but im pretty sure every dealership has a universal $995 adjusted market value mark up. the mark up is the same on all vehicles, regardless who makes it, unless its limited production. for instance the 04 chevy ssr had a $7000 mark up, and the new gto will have a $3000 mark up. but being that new cobras arent hard to get, i would guess the mark up would be the standard $995
